I'm not sure why you are running out of channels. I count 6 servos on that pane (2ail, 2 elev, rudder, throttle). You could add a choke (like my 33% Extra) and still have one left over. I use one receiver and one battery. Others feel more comfortable with two batteries. Dual receivers are generally found only on the larger planes.

I am a big fan of the Futaba PCM receiver for it's battery failsafe feature. It will close your throttle when voltage drops below a safe level. A nice feature for those using 4.8 volt packs.
