Default RE: the ANTI torque roll

How come I don't see any hovering guys rotate to the right with aileron input; basically forcing it against the natural roll to the left?
I have practiced this myself, but most of my planes are marginal at countering torque with the ailerons. And that makes it very hard to do precision rolling to the right, and also holding a some planes "still" in no wind is quite a job.

I like your thinking though... When I fly that's what I work on is getting my hovering manuevers as smooth as possible. And doing odd hovering maneuvers such as the hovering loops and figure eights, fast decending hovers or tailslides, etc
I really like doing the tailslides or as I call it the "pogo hover" where I get the plane falling back down as fast as possible without the plane falling over, and recovering as low as possible as well. Looks really good when you get it just right.

For the L and R direction rotation in a hover I think you really need counter rotating props to make it smooth. I know it's complicated and not really practical, but I bet it would work great.

sometimes when i tailslide my ocugar completlyy vertical its rolls very very quick to the right. most ive ever had is 1 1/2 turns. any ideas why
I would like to know as well.
When doing the tailslides like I mentioned above I have this happen all the time, and I have yet to understand what is going on. I have acctually had a plane to make 2 turns when this happened, and the rate of rotation was quite fast. I figure it has something to do with going back through that decending column of air created at the top of the hover..?
