I have one rule of thumb when I'm looking for a new car... What does my lhs carry?
Racing is usually done in a controlled, "safe" environment. Bashing is much worse for the car because it is rarely done with much foresight. Curbs, rocks, slick patches, and other obstacles are going to repeatedly break your car. Remember, whatever kit you get, it will only come with one set of a-arms, etc... You'll need parts, usually when least expecrted. Associated probably is the easiest to get parts for locally. I guess it depends on where you are....
