Micro whizz
I'm a newbie to this electric stuff. Love my "wet" power. But I wanted a small electric to trow in the back of the car for the occasional lunchtime flying session. Saw the great planes Micro Whizz at the shop and bought it. Ordered all the stuff I needed to get it in the air, but when the suff arrived, the gearbox was backordered.
I'm looking for suggestions for alternate drive units. For those not familiar with the Micro Whizz, here are the vital statistics:
32" wingspan, 18 oz total weight, a 280 motor with a 5:1 gearbox and an APC 9x6 SloFly prop are reccomended.
OK guys, what else can I use? A fellow at the field today was flying a little foamy thing of about the same size and weight. was using a brushless motor with out a gearbox. Sounded a bit pricey, but it would be better than not flying.
Thanks in advance for any help you can offer.
