HEY THANKS FOR THE INPUT MAN AND THE SUGGESTIONS. SPEAKING OF SERVOS WHAT ABOUT THE ONES THAQT COME WITH THE NEW jr RADIO. THE SYNTH ONE. WITH NO CRYSTALS. iM THINKING OF GETTING ONE. FOR MY VIOLATOR. ARE THEY N E GOOD. tHEY SHOULD BE FOR THE MONEY[&:]
You are correct, they should be, however they are not. I believe they are just standard servos. You need high- torque metal gear servos. I think you need these servos even more than a nice radio like that. I'm still using the stock AM one that it comes with. I will upgrade eventually, but it's fine for now. Oh and for Shozz, The violator is our baby and a great racer too, RC Extreme magazine even says for racing the 9.5 pro is the best ofna. Please just realize that they are both great. I myself have no idea which is better for racing, however their are opinions out there favoring both. The 9.5 series is a great buggy camaro and don't let him make you believe it is some how inferior to ofna's hyper series. The order he made up is his opinion, and there is no top of the line, they are both equal according to ofna. Reasons why I picked the Violator over the Hyper 7 PBS were:
Quad Vented Brakes (Hyper only has dual)
Wider Supsension (10% wider then hyper's really helps in cornering and landing jumps)
Larger Fuel Tank (more running time)
Roto Start system it ships with( I liked the idea of a shaft start better than carrying around a starter box and the one that comes with the PBS is crap anyway so you would still have to upgrade, now that I've used it for a while I think it would be nice to have a
goodstarter box and a pullstart for when I didn't want to lug it around, however as long as you have a couple charged batteries the shaft start system works awesome.)
So there you go and when you go look for servos just make sure your getting 100oz or better for both steering and throttle/brakes, you definitely need it. I had a Hitec HS 625 for throttle and it just wouldn't stop it and that has like 94oz too! So I would get two Hitec HS-645MG's if you want to go cheap($35 a piece) however this JR I have in for my throttle/brake cost me $45 and it is superior by far in centering and power(150 oz's) so I will probably be upgrading my steering servo to one of them shortly also. Have fun man and feel free to email me when you have problems with your break-in

. You more than likely will, but just remember working on these things and figuring them out is half the fun!
