Those are 2 pretty different trucks your considering. The MT2 is more like a monster truck while the rustler is a stadium truck. If your going to race you can't go for the mt2 because you probably won't find a 4wd 1/10th scale class. The MT2 would be a better basher cause it's got more ground clearance and 4wd etc. The rustler is for flat out speed and doesn't jump very well. I had to rebalance my rustler so that I could jump it off ramps etc. Parts will be much easier to get for the rustler at you lhs or internet or hop-ups. I love my rustler and would never part with it, but I've put a lot of time and energy into it for racing and bashing. It's solid aluminum with an .18 now. Just pick what will be best for your needs and consider everything out there so that you won't be dissappointed. Check out what your friends are running also as it's no fun just running or bashing by yourself. Well not as much fun at least.
