Default Cookies a computor wiz question

cookies take up very little space actually. They are just tiny text files that contain settings for you to see certain web sites correctly. Some contain username and passwords. for example. www.rcuniverse has put a cookie on your computer to remember your login credentials. Another example is websites that store settings such as stock portfolios . The only drawback to deleting all of your cookies is that some websites you visit might ask you to re add login credentials. Good luck!

P.S. this is a good place to see if your kids/wife are looking at porno sites or websites they shouldnt be looking at Also, these cookies do not take up any RAM, only space on your hard drive. If you are worried about your RAM, (depending on which OS you are running) click Start=>Run and then type "msconfig" without the quotes. then hit enter. it will bring up a window with tabs at the top. go to the one that says startup. This will show every program that loads when your computer starts up. if you uncheck a program, it will not load up when your computer starts, but will not delete it from your computer! This can be a little intimidating, and if you are worried about hurting something, get your 6 yr old child to help. If you don't have a 6 yr old, borrow the neighbors.
