I tried three cells and it got real hot. I like the amount of thrust that I get from two cells. You are probably right about the 800mah pack being heavy I will get one of the 3somthing packs soon. I got the 800mah packs because they are dirt cheep for lipos. here is a picture of the battery/ esc hook ups.

The battery hook up is a deans ultra mini or micro or somthing like that, very easy to find. The esc to motor plugs are futaba plugs taken apart and hooked to the motor and esc then shrink wrapped, this allows me to use one esc on different planes. The futaba connectors held wires that are bigger than my motor wires so I figure that they are hefty enough to handle the current. I used to be able to attach multiple pictures but now RC universe tells me I can only attach one, whats the deal?
