RE: WOT 4
The WOT 4 is an ideal second plane. It comes in two versions. The 'Classic' was actually my first ever. It flies quite slowly and with reduced throws and a .40 -.46 would be ideal. I seem to remember you can put a bit of dihedral in too.
I agree it is not a 3D plane but is a good progression from the trainer and will 'do the book'.
The other version is the Mk3. This has a tapered wing and is apparently slightly faster and smoother but is still easy to fly.
Put a .60 on either and you have a hot rod.
The only thing against them is they look a bit bland. That is why some people prefer the Acro Wot. If I was you I would buy a Wot 4 Classic and then you could buy a wing kit later to convert to the Mk3.
They may be 25 years old but I still rate the Chriss Foss kits as some of the best in the UK. I recently built a Wots Wot and one of the turbine guys recently turned up with an Acro Wot. I will be getting another Chris Foss kit soon.
