I get most of my stuff from
http://www.gobrushless.com That motor that you have sounds like the one I pulled out of a cd rom. It wont make a lot of torque but will be able to spin a small prop very fast. You would be surprised at how much plane it could fly. I have a picture of one and the plane it is on. I would suggest to go to gobrushless and get some wire, probably 26guage and some magnets 5x5x1mm and put 18 to 20 winds and six magnets in this configuration NSNSNS (N=north S=south) Building motors is very gratifying when they get a plane in the air. Does your sprocket looking thing in the motor have 9 arms or 12, If it has 9 the website I mentioned before has a tutorial on how to build a motor from it. Don't forget to to save the 3mm rails that the lazer rides on in your cdrom. You will want them later if you continue to build brushless motors.
