The answer depends on what condition the plane is in when the
engine quite. If you just took off and are loaded with fuel and
smoke, chances are you will never make it back to the run
way, yes it will glide, down fast. If you have altitude when it
quits then you have plenty of time to bring it back. You must
remember that all Deltas will tend to pich up on loss of
power, bleeding off air speed, so you must get the nose
down first and then fly the plane to the ground above the
stall speed. If you do this and avoid the trees, buildings, fences
and all other things that pop up on the way down, you will
have it made. Some of my best landings have been dead
stick!!!!!!!! Also my worst crashes.
