A tip on canopy attachment...

The 1/8" wood dowels may not stand up to the vibration and will eventually wear. 1/16" music wire into yellow Sullivan pushrod material will hold up much better. Just CA a 1/4" piece of pushrod into your existing 1/8" holes, cut your dowels flush and drill the centers for the 1/16" music wire. Shaping the wire to a blunt point will aid in installing the canopy.
