Default RE: Mowing the ruff

ORIGINAL: RC Outlaw

There are a lot of people that complain about what is being done but no one in the younger set has time, except on the PC. Seem that the only ones that have time is the older fellow and gals that want to see changes. They are the one's that are mowing the ruff, every one will take care of the runway so they can use it. Where would we be if the ruff was no taken care of.
Not having enough time, that is just the way society is nowdays. I see more and more families on the go, not even slowing down to set together at the same table for a meal. So yes, nobody has time to attempt to make changes themselves. The fact of the matter is that the older crowd "does" have the extra time to make changes. One thing you are wrong about, very wrong about, is the groundskeeping. You think that it is just the old folks doing all the work. That's not so, at least not at my club. I am the president of one club, and the founder of my alternate flying site. Every time the clubs grass has been cut, "I" cut it. Every day there was work to do at my alternate site, I was there doing it. Most work that was being done would probably put you in the hospital from overexertion. So don't set there and talk like only old folks do work at clubs. I'll hang right in there with the best of you, and then some. And, at my private site, if you don't help maintain it, you don't fly there ever again. One thing I can't stand is a lazy-assed mooch. There's no such thing is all flying and no work, with me. It aint gonna happen!
