Chuck, the Christen Eagle with the Axi 2212/34 weighs 14 oz and probably 14.2 now after some repairs and added epoxy. It has enough power to pull out of a hover with authority. Any heavier then that I think it wouldn't be to good. Your Chuck flyer has definitely more power (better) compared to the Eagle. I think the Axi would rock on a 11-12 oz airframe.
Scole, best thrust with the 2212/34 is the APC 12x3.8 . Good luck, and let us know how it worked.
