Default RE: Sureflite Cessna 182

Nice Cub Blvdbuzzard. Did the main wing break apart on your old Cessna? I did not trust Sureflite's instructions on just putting on a few strips of glass reinforced tape on the underside for added strength. I buried a hollow carbon fiber rod underneath the aileron servo wiring. I fly my Cessna like my warbirds.[sm=spinnyeyes.gif]How many cell pack are you using, what kind of motor, gear ratio and prop do you use? I fly mine on a nine cell GP3300 nim pack. The motor I chose to use is the Jeti Phasor 30-3 direct drive brushless swinging an APC 10X7E prop. The plane is fast, most of the time I am only using half throttle. I get about 10-12 minutes of flight time. I've got nine more Sureflite kits to convert, and I am thinking of going with some lipo's to save some weight. But a lipo pack of that capacity is quite expensive.
