Get an OS 91 FX. Since you are still in the building phase it is easy to modify the nose.

You can use the same pipe ment for YS 61. Karl Muller makes great wrap-around headers. Haven't seen one but the word is out that they are best there is.

I was in the same situation three years ago. With the amount of money to fix the YS I bought 91 FX and have never looked back. The OS has more hours than that YS ever did. Hatori #650 + 10% nitro + APC 14-10. Great vertical performance with 8+ lbs. You'll like it.

BTW, it is a good idea to have a rehearse plane even if you build something larger.
