best thing to do is bump the engine against the compression stroke in direction of rotation, dont follow through, just bump it. then set the blades at the 9 and 3 o'clock postions. I find it easy to start this way when i need a quick restart (grass nose over or something) and also if you have your engine die in flight it will stop like this and you reduce the chance of the prop sticking in and braking on landing.
