RE: Smoke
A few years ago at the Woodland/Davis jet rally, Tony F. had a RAM 500 powered BVM F-86 that flew with a realistic black smoke trail. The exhaust trail looked absolutely authentic, especially during an immelman or loop. I don't think he was running anything special in the fuel.
