Hi converts! I don't know if you guys have noticed in past treads about the different Ryobi engine
that we are talking about, but you can also get this engine through HARBOR FREIGHT, The newer trimmers come with either this engine or the screwed plate that goes behind the flywheel type the are both labeled as 31 cc, the difference is that the crankcase looks like the one in a homelite but the cylinder jug is the one of the Ryobi, the only thing is that when you purchase through the mail or inter-net you don't know which type you are going to get, it is a gamble, I personally went to the store and picked the one that has the screwed plate that goes behind the flywheel it saves time to convert and also it weighs less than the Hommie type, it doe's have the 2 ring piston and it has more power than the older version, so give it a try.
