Howdy gents!
Aero nut, yeah I think I know what you're talking about. Some are a one piece affair and some still utilize the older 2 piece construction.I've seen this most recently on the Ryobi 28cc engine. My father has one that is a 2 piecer and I've seen some at the store that are one piecers. So the Ryobi 31cc is being cast as one piece also is it?HMM!!Have to keep my eyes open next time I'm over at the ole Home Depot. This must be some kind of cost saving measure to produce the engine for cheaper and to minimize the parts count, labour required to assemble the engine resulting in a lower cost end product.Seems like they are just catching up to everybody else in that department.I can't think of a grass trimmer where it wasn't cast all in one piece. This is what made the Ryobi a easy convert compared to other trimmers. You didn't have to spend a month of Sunday's cutting ,grinding and filing.[:@].............that's where all the fun is anyways.............right guy's
