Default RE: Engine Overkill

No, the cheapest i've seen the OS 50shx is $164.99, the 50H is selling for $89. My apologies for the typo. My local hobby shop advised me to stay away from the TT engines. I will replace the ring and piston first and see what happens before i spend 164.99 on a new engine.

The tech at my hobby shop says, "if i flood the engine with fuel, it will start for about 1 second, then die." So I know for sure the glow plug is ok. He even disconnected the fuel filter to make sure nothing was clogging the path. He doesnt think there's enough pressure to feed the engine with fuel.

1 area of concern is, the hose that goes from the gas tank to the muffler is not a snug fit. If i gently grab it and take it off, it will come off. Do you think I should glue it or strap it on tighter? I have a feeling the pressure is leaking out of that connection. Hence, the lack of fuel pressure to the carb.
