Also available are nylon pinned hinges. Just like a door hinge. Though, like the CA hinges, you need to cut a slot, only it needs to be 'taller' (if you understand what I mean). And then you need to use epoxy to hold them in. This is messy and you can end up sticking the pin in.

CA hinges work well and are easy to use . The only tool you need is an Xacto knife, but there are specialized tools that make the job of cutting the slot easier. Unless you are concerned with scale realism, I'd highly recommend giving CA hinges a try.
