climb straight up into a stall though ? If so, I will leave it as is. Thanks for the input.

Try setting 2 degrees down thrust and trim the plane for straight and level at 1/2-2/3 throttle. This should reduce the rate of climb. It's not unusual for high powered planes to climb under full throttle when properly trimmed.
