It sounds like you may have an airleak where the carb mounts to the engine. An OS 46 fx was the first engine I ever had. I had it on my trainer, on a Sportsman Aviation Hot Knife, and now a Sig Four Star under construction and it will go in my GP Mustang. It is an awesome powerplant and very versatile. NEVER had a deadstick with that engine. Someone said something about fuel consumption? 8 oz gives me 10 - 12 minutes of aggressive flying. I am certainly not putting down the LA line, but if it was as good as the FX/AX it would be the same price.
