I agree that you could probably fly the trainer okay, but an instructor will make that virtually a sure thing.

Check out the AMA website. Most clubs require AMA membership, but they also have a "Club Locater" page. Just plug in your Zip Code and you should get a list of a few clubs within an easy drive.
