I got my eclipse back in the air today for the first time! I got the plane from a friend of mine for a song.......no literally a song......he made me tap dance in the street for it....but that's a different story. Anyway, it has an OS61RX on it with a matching OS pipe and it was a bear to get running. Thanks to a friend of mine (Charles the Fly-n-Razorback) he helped me get it going. I was so anxious to get it flying I didn't notice the high end needle was all the way in and the motor was just running on the prime. Charles quickly helped me get the needles sorted out and I got it airborne promptly. Wow. Quick. Hot landing. No problem, although I would like to slow it down a bit with a different prop (running a 12.5X11 APC now).
I was a little sluggish on the controls at first, but the slow rolls are coming back....slowly[] But oh well, at least I have something to fly! Thanks again to Charles, all went well!
