Default RE: are any of you scared to fly?

am i scared of crashing?? no. then i wouldnt fly. am i worried about it?? yes. Right now i have one plane in commision, 1 waiting to be finished building, and 1 awating a radio and engine, so if i do crash, i have backups. but right now my only flying plane is my funtana, and it has been my favorite so far, so it will be a sad day when she goes back to whence she came.
Guys at my field feel a breeze and stay on the ground. often times i am the only guy flying during the wind, i love flying in the wind. It hones your skills down very good. wind can be nerve racking when landing, but hey, i am having fun. It only makes you a better pilot. i just joined a new club (new to me) and i get complements from everyine on my flying, wind or not. being scared to fly is not an option for me.
A remember reading on RCU somewhere this quote,"Don't spend money you are not willing to lose." in other words. Don't spend $1000 and not be willing to lose it all. I have seen crashes where everything from the engine to the radio were destroyed, TOTAL loss. Most of my extra money goes into my planes, so if i lose one it will put a dent in the wallet, but hey, i am willing to lose it.
