Default RE: Capiche 140

Colin - I know ! [sm=bananahead.gif] HANDS UP ON THAT ONE.... If I did I should never have taken the mickey..... based on Barons work on his latest you coming out at 10.00 on the nose is excellent work.... There are some contributary factors for me however so Im pretty pleased.......

I got the cowl and spats pre coloured red in the gel coat (cos I cant spray for a toss) and whilst the match is good these parts are heavier than they might be and certainly heavier than Barons who were done super light non coloured and then he got them professionally sprayed. I also got an extra servo and associated leads on board remember. these all add up...

Im going with the 10-2 figure - always found my digi scales accurate in the past - and so I reckon if I had done mine like yours I probably would have hit the 10 mark.

I learnt this weekend also that the 140 that Ali flies is probably more like 10 1/2 after a few repairs etc... doesnt look like it does it !

I have to say I was pretty impressed with the Moki 135 powered one I tested in France....at 10 1/2 pounds.... It was excellent and I said at the time if mine flew like that I would be happy - it didnt feel like 10 1/2 at all - well Im 6 oz lighter - that should be noticeable.

Weather looks gash today - typical ! still - might still do it... need to see if that old faithful YS want to run some time !
