Default Patriot

Here's my new Patriot. It's got 8 flights on it so far. The first couple were disasters - plane badly out of trim and not balanced properly ( I thought I had it right). The engine also quit both times. I think I had a little radio interference too, as the plane did a couple of major wiggles without any stick movement. Luckily got it down without damage. Fixed the problems (and re-routed the antenna) and the last few flights have been great. Very fast!

Here's the particulars on the plane:

- Kit built (bought the kit through RCUniverse)
- Super Tiger 45 engine, MAC's tuned pipe, Master Airscrew 10-9 prop
- Hobbico Retracts (The mains actually work pretty well for a $29 system, but the nose gear sucks. If I had to do it again I'd put a top-of-line air system in).

Some of you guys may not like the really "fake" inlets I've put on the side (just grey and black Ultracote), but they look okay at 150 feet! Couldn't stand the drag of the ones that come with the kit, but I liked the look.
