To follow with MinnFlyer's post, the Boy Scouts of America (I'm sure there is a UK equivalent) have explorer posts for older boys.
These are usually tied to some sort of advanced trainning. The most comon here are to police departments but they have others.
My brother was in the Sea Scouts which led to his career as a sea captain and harbor pilot.
Check this out and see if they have any associated with flying.
