The CG remains the same -- on the spar... You can place the main gear just at, or a little ahead of the wing's leading edge.

Also, make sure you have the correct amount of toe in. I converted my EZ2 to a tail dragger and it was FUN until I turned the gear around... I used a separate push rod to steer mine, but think pushing the tail wheel wire through the stab and attaching it to the bottom of the rudder with a 90 degree bend and some fuel tubing would work well. Since the tail comes off of the EZ2 getting the fuel tubing screwed into the bottom if the rudder shouldn't be too hard...
