Hi Guys,
Some quick answers to your questions:
Motor is a Plettenberg Extra 25-13. I was told that the power output running the 10S3P Li-Po pack is 2.2kW, this is approx. 3HP.

Only in German though...
The flying qualities of the Impact seemed very nice. I only saw Bernd Beschorner fly it, and needless to say it looked extremely smooth in the hands of one of the worlds best F3A pilots. He flew the F-05 schedule, and the rolling circles and rolling loops were a thing of beauty. By the way this was the first time he flew the model, but I guess this tells more about the abilities of the pilot than the model....
The power of the motor seemed more that adequate, and I guess 3HP for a 4.6kg model is more than adequate. Also the 18" prop is a bit more effective than the 16" and 17" used by the 140-160 2-strokes.
First of all however it amazes me to see the slow flight performance of the electric pattern models. I saw the same when Jason flew in Poland, and it really gives the impression that the pilot has all the time in the world to make the required corrections. Also the braking down wards is phenomenal, there is no doubt in my mind that we will see a boom in electrics in the years to come. Wolfgang Matt has also made the switch, so it must be working...

However the price and maintenance of the batteries should go down a bit more before we have the perfect solution.
