Default RE: What Are the Risks!?!?!?!

You are going to crash at some point. I just started flying November of last year with a SuperStar MKII. I had an instructor and joined a club. I became super confident and took the trainer to a park (stupid idea) and flew it all day -- my instructor was not with me. The run started to set, but I had to have ONE MORE FLIGHT. I got disoriented because of the poor light and the trainer hit a tree. The repairs were easy. I had the plane air worthy in about 2 hours.

I traded the plane for a small AT-6 and bought a Sig Four Star 40 and AeroFly Pro simulator. I spent a lot of time with the simulator and almost no time actually flying since because I was buying a house and didn't have time to go to their air field. After escrow closed I went to the field and soled the Four Star after 3 flights.

My point is get a simulator if you can afford it.
