Default Sachs engine clarification

Good day all, I have a Sachs 3.7 (so I'm told) and just want to clarify that it is a 3.7 or whatever. the cylinder has the following numbers on it (that i can see): 4ZZN5**W(5)?. Does this sound right? Would a conversion to electronic ignition be worth it? How about the weight savings by cleaning of the extra metal after converting?
