RE: GSP KATANA control system
Silver Solder is SUPER STRONG!!! It is safe to use on a 40+% plane all day long. The tensile strength is more than adequate if done properly. The metal must be cleaned well with sandpaper to remove all oils and etc and it is a no brainer. I have the Katana and I use all 4-40 rods. I have a 4-40 die and I make all custom pushrod setups on all my planes. I thread both ends and use Rocket City hardware. I use a 4-40 RC ball link on one end screwed all the way on to the rod and a clevis on the other end. Any good 4-40 clevis will work fine. I like dubro. A bulletproof setup. The balllink allows for any slight misalignment as the servo moves throughout its travel range.
Silver solder a clevis to one end and use he treaded end for adjustment. A bulletproof setup as well.
