Default RE: All purpose 3D flyer?

Many people have said the Sportsman Hot Knife .46 Profile is not a good airplane, but I find it almost does it all.
It does flat spins, it hovers very well, it knife edges beautifully, and the thick airfoil provides great harrier landings.
On my Hot Knife's maiden flight I was able to harrier it well.
The Hot Knife is also and ARF, and you might want to use and engine that has at least 1.6 BHP because it weighs around 3 3/4 to 4 lbs (including flight pack, engine, and fuel tank).
I also suggest you try a Modeltech Magic .46, it does it all except knife edge. It is available as an ARF as well, and it weighs merely 3 1/2 lbs (including flight pack, engine, and fuel tank). You will notice that you can fit a large, powerful, and heavy .46 (or even a .52) because it has an open engine mount (no cowling or "ears" ) and the plane was initially tail heavy with a 1-lb engine.
The Hot Knife and the Magic are in the $90-$100 price range.
