Default RE: Blackhorse CAP232 Video

I love the CAP, no bad habits at all if you treat it with respect. High elevator rates and full control deflections and it will snap but otherwise its a kitty cat. (apparently the other word for cat, ***** gets auto edited) (2nd edit, funny how a five letter word starting with p gets edited to 4 stars) Stalls are a non event, Ive got to use rudder to get it to drop a wing during a stall. I find it makes doing a two turn spin as in pattern type flying hard without making it look like it was snapped into the spin, which I read is a no-no.

The video camera has a great zoom, but Tracey's not very experienced at watching models.
To film zoomed in tight, I think you need to either be very familiar with watching models flying or a model flyer yourself, or just very good at filming anything moving, anticipation is what it needs. I can film zoomed in tight, but cant fly and film just yet
At one point during filming she kept loosing the model in the view finder and complained she didnt know which way it was going, my comment about the nose always going forward got me a slap. To get that 2 mins of footage we had 20 mins of actual taping over 2 flights.

Oh and if anyone notices, I took off to my right and landed to my left, the wind was ALL crosswind so it didnt really matter which way I took off.

Britbrat,
Im not sure what you mean. I wasnt fighting it at all, it flies great. One of the most experienced pilots in our club, who's flew its maiden for me, thinks its a great flyer, very straight nice lines. He wants me to enter in an upcoming pattern comp with it [X(] Its my first glow powered model, previously Id only flown slope gliders and one electric glider over about 18 months since I started flying RC. I did borrow a trainer to get used to ROG takeoffs and roll out landings for 2 weeks before I flew the CAP. Ive probably had 30-40 flights with it now, maybe more I dont count them but its only been about 6 or 8 ? weeks since I started on it.
