Default RE: Futaba 7C Trainer function not working

Hi,

As far as I understand, your 7C should be used as the slave radio, correct?
1) Anyway, was the slave radio setting in PPM? Should probably not work if slave is set in PCM-mode.
2) Are you using an original Futaba buddy lead or a selfmade?
3) Is the shield of the round connector of the lead in connection with the "lip" of the female connector on the "older" transmitter? It's a "weak" point with these connectors. Take a screwdriver and force a little this "lip" towards the outside of the female connector and try again your connection.
4) If the 7C is the slave, measure voltage (with buddy lead plugged in the 7C only) on the round male connector between the shield and connection pin 3 (IN-connection)(see my website chapter 3, figure 3-01). The voltage should be around 4 volt (could be a little more or less, don't know for this TX, you could tell me...).
There should be no complicated reason why it doesn't work...
Good luck
Olivier
