i have recentley attached a new 3pce clutch etc. the screw and washer you use to keep the bell attached to the rod is stopping the bell from turning freely so the bell turns with the clutch/flywheel all the time.

In looking into it the end of the rod where you put the screw in to hold the bell in place, is now 1mm behind the front of the bell rather than protruding out, so when i tighten it it is gripping the bell and if i tightened enough it would bend the washer.

I have tried to find a washer smaller that will fit in the gap with the other one over it but cant get one small enough as would need to go round the screw but be smaller than the head.

any suggestions without forking out for a new flywheel and clutch set up as is new already.
