i have done exactley this but but the end part when i add the screw and the steel washer i do not get 0.5mm play with the bell it is actually about -0.5mm.

the washers i am using are very thin and dont think you can get smaller. the only thing i can think of is that i used the a gold colour cone piece at the start which come from another engine as didnt come with the engine. could this be the problem.
