Default RE: Flip 3D

ORIGINAL: splais

Forget it, I had one. Had a dead stick, came in and banged the wingtip. It DID NOT do anything to the wing, but the fuselage snapped in half just behind the wing. Never will get another one. Way to weak. The entire fuselage is nothing but covering and 1/4" balsa framing.
A little quick to bash every time you can eh?
I have one now, and until it had a regulator installed, had many deadstick issues. Broke the gear block out, it's now got nylon bolts and holding up great. No broken fuselage. Even if it did break, well it's sheeting and crutches, easy fix- and easy to reinforce if you see the need. splais, the plane is not all balsa despite the stupid Kyosho stickers that say so. There's lots of ply, about the same as any other ARF 3d of this size.

The other 3 Flips in my club haven't broken the fuse either by the way.

Good flying plane! I will say the covering sucks in application and appearance.
