Default RE: Shocky Elevator Trim

Hi.

Not sure if this will help in your case, but just the other day I made some adjustments to my Extra330 Shockie, which may apply or help in your case too!.

I'm using 3cell 340mah packs, which weigh around 30 grams, and my plane weighs 9ozs ready to fly with battery.(bit heavy I know)
My balance point turned out at around 45mm back with my initial setup, and I too had a fair amount of up elevator trim dialed in.
So just the other night I relocated my battery 5cm further back. This now makes the plane balance at 65mm back, and now my elevator trim is set at dead neutral, and it also stays in hovers better, and does harries more easily.

One thing to watch for(be careful) if you do adjust the balance that far back is the elevator control in my opinion becomes a bit more sensative than it was with the previous balance point.

Happy flying.
