My Doddger still lives
I built one of these about a year and half ago and its still flyable. This kit got my "juices" flowing to get into Quickie racing and now I completely hooked. I'm racing every 424 event within a 400 mile radius, keeps me out of trouble. I would suggest adding some 1/32 ply to the nose and wing attach area. Toothpick reinforcement on the firewall, landing block and wing attach blocks. I would also get rid of the wing dowel attachment and go with 4 nylon bolts. If you build the mid-tail(as I did) don't skimp on fiberglass on the vertical and and vertical attach to the fuselage. I re-glassed my tail to fuselage joint twice due to cracking. On landings this plane carries much more speed than my current lighter Quickies. Two thumbs up for a first Quickie kit and or sport plane. If you want to go racing get a Racer II or that ARF(P#%^<_?%!, P-something). Good luck
