Default RE: Great Planes GEE BEE R2 ARF......

J:I built one of these and sold it at Joe Nall this year before i flew it. Dick Pettit did an excellent report on it for RC Report in the Feburary issue. When you mount your tailwheel bracket, counter sink half of the plastic bearing into the fuselage and half into the rudder. The tell you to do it all in the rudder, but there isn't enough wood in the rudder, which i found out the hard way. Also i put four screws in the belly pan, one on each corner, very little area makes contact to the wing. Once you epoxy the stab in place, from the inside of the fuselage make a fillet on the stab. Zap has pro bond, this stuff will glue ice cubes together. The only other thing i did was to uncover the ailerons and elevators and install wooden blocks so i could use robart hinges.Probably wasn't necessary but i don't like ca hinges on some things. This is about all i felt i needed to change. MR>ED
