When you say "glow engines" are you referring to 2-stroke engines? The 4-stroke glow engines create more than enough heat for smoke by pre-heating the oil by wrapping around the muffler header prior to going into the muffler.

2-strokes don't generate as much heat and I've seen mixed success with some buddies.

4-strokes generate lots of heat and I have the burn marks to prove it :stupid:
