I didn't say they didn't generate enough heat, I said that they didn't generate as much heat.
My buddies have done some preheating with 2 strokes in some unique ways, including engine header, muffler, etc but like I said, mixed results. I've just seen more consistent smoke attempts out of the 4-strokers.
BadAndy I honestly think the .72 will do much better for the smoke than the .46.
(you just have to adapt to the smell of smoke oil now; not quite that wonderful "burnt nitro" smell

ps I just ordered the new Sullivan Sky Writer system to replace the manual dubro system in my hog bipe. I keep losing pressure after a short while so an electronic one that can mix with the throttle seemed to be the next thing to try.
