Ditto on the over controlling. Easy on the sticks and make small smooth corrections. Don't bang the sticks around. Another is beginners usually fly the plane too far/too high away from them. Keep it where you can see it. Another is keep the plane out in front of you. Don't let it get behind you or directly over your head and stay out of the sun.
