RE: Differences between Wing Dragon and Wing Dragon II?
It's a 3 channel plane. I have had ones that were labelled Wing Dragon, and others labelled Wing Dragon II. I think it is more marketing than anything, there was no difference, except very minor cosmetic ones, and the very latest Wing Dragon IIs have 480 motors instead of 400s, but this is only in the last month,
However, the first Wing Dragons had different transmitters from the current ones, with a knob for the throttle and black in colour. I have never actually seen one of these, only photos, but the consensus seems to be they are to be avoided because of the non-standard transmitter layout. Some sellers then called the first ones to appear with the new light-coloured transmitters Wing Dragon II to differentiate them, but I don't think this was an "official" name.
To further complicate the issue, some WDs have 9g and some 17g servos, but I think this is more related to temporary component shortages at the factory than anything else. Latest ones seem to have the 17g servos, but my own has the 9g and these have performed well for me over a long period.
To round this off, WDs are available with either Mode 1 or Mode 2 transmitters, so if ordering check what you are getting.
