Ailerons on a slow stick work effectively if you do it correctly.
first you need to have a flat wing! use a carbon fiber rod allong the entire spar of the wing this will give strength and durability.
Next cut out the ailerons with an exacto knife sand edges of both ailerons and wing in the area that you cut, this will provide proper spacing for the alerons.
Use tape or hinges (either one) to hold your ailerons in place.
glue on a control horn on to the aileron. (dubro, great plane, either will work)
You will need to glue on two servos one for each aileron in order for this to work.
Glue the servos on there side just aft of the carbon fiber rod.
next get a peice of small k&s .032 wire and connect the servo to the control horn.
Last you need to connect the servo's to your reciever through a Y-harness.
Caution be sure both aileron servos are either faceing each other or there both facing outward.
