As a fellow newbie with a commander I can say for the first week or two you're not going to be concerned with aerobatics (unless you're gifted). I have seen one of my friends do a loop (4 of us fly Commanders together), but I don't think it was intentional. Other than that it's a pretty straight forward circles, stalls, and spirals plane.

STILL it's a VERY DURABLE first plane and a lot of fun in expert mode with the shim.
